- The film slumdog millionaire appeals to a mass audience, above a 10-11 due to there being any populer genres such as drama, romance also due to there being and female and male role as the leads it appeals to both genders.
- The budget was $15,000,000 which would be low if it was a hollywood film, which is one of the indicaters that its a bristish film. Also there dident use world renound actors which u exspect from a hollywood film e.g. roben hood had the film stars russle croue and kate blanchet, wereas this film had acters such as dev petal which became famous from the bristish show skins. this is another indicater that it is a british film it uses acters that the britsh public know. Another point is that danny boyle i a britsh directer.
- The film slumdog millionaire was resived very well by critics and through the award seromones. In the BAFTAs (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) the film was nominated for 18 and won 8 including 'best directer' and 'best lead role'. The film was also well recived by the critics. Useing the film website rottentomarto, they gave the film 92% which is equivelent to about four to four and a half stars, 'Like a director from Hollywood's golden age, Boyle has a particular talent for putting a realistic spin on the outlandish', 'The film is beautifully crafted. - Why do i think the film was so successful?, one thing is that the film is a hydrid of many populer genres such as crime and romance. Also useing the idear of star possona, people may be inclined to see the film just because of an acter in it, e.g. dev petal star of show 'skins'. Another reasion this may have been a success is due to the directer, if you like a film that the directer of a film did you may want to see there new film, the directer of slumdog millionaire is danny boyle, the directer who made films such as trainspotting, the beach and sunshine.

Thoughout the trailer for law abitding citizan, theres are use to give the audience meaning or insite into the story. A editing tecneque that was used frequetly was shot reverse shot, the main characters played by Geraed butler and jamie fox have many of these shots throughout the trailer, the connotes that in the film there is some kind of relationshit between these characters ether friendly or not. As the trailer contiues the time between the shots shortens and shortens, the connots that the film will have a fast pase story line, also as due to the trailer getting faster and faster it gives the impression that the film will build to a climax, this is backed up by the last seen in the trailer where the shot is long posibly identifing the climax. The trailer shows to the audience that it will most likey have a linier story line seeing as the trailer seems to be in a linier order.
